MCU is a Credit Union. We are a full service financial institution that is almost like a bank-but that little word "almost" makes all the difference in the world. Banks are profit making institutions; they may offer their accounts to the public at large. MCU is a not-for-profit financial cooperative serving groups of people who fit within our field of membership. Once we cover our costs and reserve requirements additional earned income goes back to our members in more favorable rates and terms, and lower fees for products and services.
