Description of Tecomate Seed Company
Tecomate is THE company forced into business by the monster bucks we were (and still are) growing! We did not start out to be a wildlife land and service company; we started our as deer managers trying to grow more and better deer. We tried every conceivable management technique, and soon learned that the key to growing lots of big deer was better nutrition, coupled with other sound management principles. Recognizing that nutrition was the key, we embarked on a quest to find the best way to enhance nutrition. After lots of study, trials, searching and researching, we found that food plots were the best and most cost effective way to get superior nutrition to deer. Then, we searched the world over for the very best food plot plants to meet the year-round nutritional needs of deer. After years of trial and error, we not only perfected a food plot nutritional strategy, but we found the very best seeds and seed mixes to meet the exacting seasonal nutritional needs of whitetails … and we scientifically proved our success with extensive university research. During the process, we grew lots of giant bucks! In fact, we grew more and bigger bucks than anyone ever thought possible … on all size tracts, some of which were heretofore thought to be too small for effective management! Our phenomenal success drew so much attention from people wanting to grow more and bigger bucks that our "day jobs" were threatened. In the end, we were literally forced into the wildlife business. We started with the wildlife seed and products business, and eventually, because of the many requests for help in finding and managing dream wildlife properties, we were forced into the real estate and wildlife consulting business! Now, we at Tecomate are fully committed to helping our customers realize their dreams of owning and managing their own special slice of the Great American Outdoors.
