The NCS Counseling Program, established in 1983, provides confidential, thoughtful, and continuing support for students, parents, faculty, and staff regarding both day-to-day matters and serious concerns. At NCS, counseling is a pro-active, outreach process aimed at assisting effective change for a healthier life. In addition to meeting with individuals, NCS Counseling activities include educational programs that provide students with information, skills, and insights needed for personal growth and healthy living, such as: sixth grade self-esteem courses seventh grade small discussion groups assemblies on eating disorders, managing stress, racial awareness, and women's issues ninth grade alcohol/drug seminar Senior Separation Seminar
